MCM Wooden Chess Set W/Box 4.75” King Russia

Description

We are delighted to offer this finely hand carved chess set with storage box. The design features kings and queens of tiered form and knights with carved horses heads. One side is natural polished lacquer and the other is stained cinnamon. Many of the finials surmounting the pieces are set in the alternate color. The kings measure approximately 4.75” high. These unweighted pieces are finished with red baize fabric pads which show minor wear. Indeed a beautiful set, it is in very good vintage condition with minimal wear. We added a wood case to house the set.
