Description
This item is offered AS-IS -- please view the photos and read the description below before deciding on your bid, and please let me know if there is more information or another photographic view that I can try to provide. This listing is to offer a vintage SOLORA chess clock in very nice condition. Both sides run, though I have not tested for mutual accuracy. The mechanism to start and stop the clocks moves smoothly and easily. One setting knob is missing, but the other one can be gently pulled out and moved to set either clock until you obtain a replacement. One of the winding keys is missing the little handle. The bottom of the casing is marked 'Swiss Made' and bears the RFP mailbox logo. Overall, the unit appears to be quite well cared for and in nice clean condition. I haven't used it at all in the years I've had it, it was just displayed on my chess shelf, but it doesn't seem to have been abused in any way before it came my way. (Please note that this may not be a good clock for hard use in speed chess; I've read that they were probably not made with that kind of continual pounding in mind, and working models are too rare now to use that way.)
